Edward Zakrzewski Obituary
Oct. 29, 1942 - July 6, 2023
CROWN POINT, IN - Edward L. Zakrzewski, age 80, formerly of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023.
Edward is survived by his wife, Judith Ann Zakrzewski; children: Christopher (Ningchun Han) Zakrzewski, Erik (Penny) Zakrzewski, and Randy Zakrzewski; grandchildren: Ella, Hailey, Matthew, Nathan, Caelan, Melanie, and Alexis; brother, Thomas Zakrzewski; and sister, Helen Kozenchik.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents: Edward Zakrzewski and Mary Zakrzewski (nee Gruchalski); and sister, Margaret Oleska.
Edward was a Steelworker for U.S. Steel for 36 years. He proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine. Edward was a member of the NRA and enjoyed collecting guns. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, collection coins, and flying model planes and rockets.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at GEISEN FUNERAL, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at the Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Wilkins officiating. Interment to follow at Maplewood Memorial Cemetery in Crown Point, IN.

I am so sorry to read of my classmates passing. Ed an I were students together at St. Hedwigs grade school and have only seen him a few time since then because I now live in Iowa. When I had seen him I found him to be the great guy that I remembered. He appears to have been a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and I feel for your loss. I will pray for him.
