Dear Debbie & Ray:
Raymond and I just found our about Erik and we are both so sorry to hear of his passing and are so sorry we missed his wake and funeral. Debbie - I will always remember you cheering him on while he pitched at SXU - Ray was younger than Erik - but we will never forget him.

I was devestated to hear the news of Erik's death from my mother yesterday. It affected me all day and still effects me.
Erik was a great boy and I will never forget his admiration for my brother david when he was very young as David is still a very admirable person...Erik knew real when he saw it even then.
My heart goes out to Debbie, Ray and Jamie and opens into thought and prayers and songs.
I play in a band and we dedicated our rehearsal last night to Erik and toasted his brief life.
Peace and Love during this difficult time. Healing takes a while. I know this from recent experience. Sometimes you think you're ok for a long time and then comes a crash.
Ask for help. Be kind to yourselves. Get counciling if you need it I highly reccomend it.
Bless you all.

Dear Benson Family,
We are sorry to hear of your loss. I've heard great stories of baseball moments Erik shared with Brett. From little league, high school ball and even men's softball teams. He was a fun classmate and friend. Our families thoughts and prayers are with you in this time.

Dear Benson Family,
I doubt youwill remember me. I went to elementary school with Erik. I was shocked when my mother called and told me she had read of Erik's passing. I know there are no words to describe what you all must be feeling, nor is there anything I can say to make it easier, but my prayers are with you all.

Dearest Debbie, Ray and Jamie,
I cannot express how deeply saddened I am at hearing of your beloved Erik's passing. Please know that we are here if you need to talk, or anything at all. These words are from the Bhagavad Gita.
"Indestructible is the presence that pervades all this; no one can destroy this unchanging reality.
It is not born, it does not die:
HAVING BEEN, IT WILL NEVER NOT BE..."
With love,
Teresa, Bill and Jessica
