Everett Mathis

Everett L. Mathis "Pete" Highland Everett L. Mathis "Pete", of Highland, IN, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at The Community Hospital in Munster, following a short illness. He was born on October 29, 1923 in Casey, IL, to Rev. and Mrs. G.A. Mathis. He was retired from Inland Steel. For many years he was an avid builder and operator of radio controlled model airplanes. He leaves to mourn his loss: Clara (nee Delnicki), his beloved wife of 58 years; sister, Irene Cunningham; brother-in-law, Robert Delnicki; sister-in-law Vicky Secviar; nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding him in death are his baby brother, Eugene and brother Howard, and his parents. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 7, 2004, 1:30 PM at the Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN, with cremation to follow service. Interment at the Washington St. Cemetery, Casey, IL. Visitation will be on Sunday, one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, monetary memorials may made to the family.
