Fred Kalinowski

Fred Kalinowski "Koly" Calumet City, IL Fred "Koly" Kalinowski, age76, of Calumet City, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2004 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Grace Rose "Peggy" Kalinowski; daughter, Lenora and son, Kelly. One grandchild and two great-grandchildren; sister, Chestine Banas of Sawyer, MI and brother, Dan (Teri) of Crete, IL; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Teofel and Mary Kalinowski of Hegewisch, IL, and three sisters, Frances, Rose and Florence. Fred was a WWII Army Veteran; member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Calumet City, IL. He was enshrined into the Fast Pitch 12" Softball Hall of Fame for Lake County, Indiana on June 30, 1977. He also pitched ball for Amaizo and many other local ball teams. He was an avid golfer and bowler. A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 768 Lincoln Ave., Calumet City, IL. No public visitation.
