Henry Pietrzak Obituary
Henry "Hank" Pietrzak, age 84, of Munster, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Flo Rapchak (O'Drobinak); ten children: Henry (Daisy) Pietrzak, Mary (Ken) Young, Richard (Kim) Pietrzak, Theresa (Fred) Swantko, Jackie (Joe) Kukuch, James Pietrzak, Chris (Matt) Nelson, Randy (Kim) Rapchak, Pattie (Jerry) Mayo, Cyndi (Terry) Kiest; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Mike (Sue) Pietrzak; sister, Theresa (late John) Proudfoot; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents: Leo and Margaret; first wife, Bernadine (nee Shideler); brother, Leo; sister, Dolores. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM Directly at St. John Bosco Church 7113 Columbia Ave., Hammond with Fr. Richard Orlinski officiating. At rest St. John Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN (corner of Main and Kennedy). Hank was Korean War Veteran, retired from Lever Brothers with 43 years of service, former owner of B & H scrap, member St. John Bosco Church, avid pinochle player, and also a volunteer for Pierogi making at St. Josephat's Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. John Bosco Church, and St. Joseph Soup Kitchen and Share Foundation. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Dear Jamie, Flo and entire family. I am very sorry for your loss. Although I didn't know your father very well, Jamie, I've heard many "Bosco-ites" speak so highly of him -my prayers go out to you.
My mother, Helen, was very sorry she couldn't make the funeral due to an illness right now. She will definitely be praying for your family, as well.

Flo and children, I am so sorry for your loss. Hank was the best brother-in-law that anyone could ask for. I will cherish all the fond memories I have of him for the past 60 years, of which their are many. Hank was a good man, a good father and a wonderful husband. May he rest in peace knowing that he touched many lives with his wonderful smile.

To all Hank's children and Flo;
I will always remember all the good times on Howard as we were growing up. Hank always had a smile on his face and would always wave Hello no matter what age we were. Your Dad was always a hard working, loving and caring family man and neighbor. May he rise with the Angels and always watch over all his loved ones.
