Jacqueline St. Peters Obituary

Jacqueline Kocur St. Peters ST. LOUIS, MO - Jacqueline St. Peters, 57, beloved wife, mother and sister, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Barnes West Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born September 22, 1960 in Hammond, the daughter of Stanley and Marjorie Baldwin Kocur. She grew up in Calumet City, graduating from Bishop Noll Institute, before moving to Alton, IL, in suburban St. Louis. Jackie also spent many happy summers with her family at beautiful Walloon Lake, MI, where she had vacationed since she was a baby. Having grown up around her family's travel agency, Globetrotter Travel in Calumet City, she graduated from the International School of Travel in Chicago, then became a travel agent at various agencies in St. Louis. While there she met and fell in love with Doug St. Peters, whom she married on October 24, 1982. After her daughters were born, Jackie happily left her career to devote herself to their upbringing, and to support her husband Doug as owner of St. Peters Hardware. She and Doug were immensely proud of their girls and their achievements. Later in life she became a devoted caregiver to her parents, who retired to St. Louis. Jackie will be remembered for her generous heart, sense of fun, outgoing personality and love of family, Catholic faith and friends. She was fond of many things: Walloon Lake, animals, snow, Christmas, St. Louis Cardinals, the number seven and Notre Dame. But family always came first for her, including her much loved dogs. Jackie is survived by her loving husband Doug of Godfrey, IL; daughters: Laura of Godfrey, Courtney of Washington, DC and Megan of Bloomingdale, IL; sister and brother-in-law: Lauren and Jim Macintyre of Walloon Lake; sister, Jan Drew of North Easton, MA; brother-in-law, Michael Kelly of Valparaiso and numerous other sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Karyn Kelly; brother, Rick Kocur, brothers-in-law: Dr. Frank Drew and Rick Watts. The funeral mass took place on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 followed by interment at St. Patrick Cemetery in Godfrey.
