Joan Tuttle Obituary
Joan C. Tuttle, age 90, late of Cedar Lake, Indiana, passed away July 17, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Russell Tuttle for 71 years. Loving mother of Sandra (late LeRoy) Popyk, Jessica (Scott) McKee, and the late Raymond (LouAnn) Tuttle. Cherished grandmother of Michelle (Doolie) Popyk – Wyatt, Daniel (Debbie) Popyk, Sarah (William) Barber, Katelyn (Justin) Huffer, Amber (Christian) Huffer, Ryan Tuttle, Stephanie (Scott II) McKee, Adam McKee, and Mindy (Tim) McKee. Cherished great-grandmother of 30 and great-great grandmother of 1. Joan is also survived by many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Florence Bixenman; brother, Ronald Bixenman, and lifelong friend, MaryAnn Schevitz.
Joan was a retired employee of Chase Bank. She was an avid quilter and member of Heritage Quilters of Crown Point. She was a lifelong member of Holy Name Catholic Church and former member of the Cedar Lake Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
Memorial Visitation and Services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 10:30 am until time of Memorial Mass at 11:00 am DIRECTLY at Holy Name Catholic Church 11000 W. 133rd Ave. Cedar Lake. Inurnment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Holy Name Catholic Church, Unity Hospice, or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Joan's name.
