Joseph Lison Obituary
Joseph E. Lison, age 26, of Lake Station, IN passed away at his home Thursday, June 5, 2008. He was a Lake Station resident for the past six years and was formerly of Cedar Lake. Joseph was a graduate of Hanover Central High School and worked in construction for Midget Concrete. He loved fishing. Joseph is survived by his wife, Erica Lison of Lake Station, IN; parents: Phillip and Donna Lison of Cedar Lake, IN; one sister, Sarah Lison of Chicago, IL; grandmother, Eugenia Lison of Vernon Hills, IL. Preceded in death by his grandparents: John and Esther Lang and Paul James Lison. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 9, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart with Pastor Mark Vance officiating. Visitation is Monday just prior to the service from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Joseph's wife, Erica. Thank you everybody for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers. It's nice to know Joe was so loved and appreciated. He loved all of you too!! Now we have to remember that he is in heaven and things are really, really good for him.

When you lose a sibling, you lose a timeline of yourself. Joe was always there for me, no matter what. He'd give me anything and always, always was there to protect me. When I needed a friend, I was always welcome. No words can describe the void in my heart. I'll love him always, and I know he'll be the first person there for me when I get to the other side.

Aunt Donna, Uncle Phil, Sarah: I will forever have fond memories of Friday night pizza at grandma's, visits to the apartment in Chicago, the lake during the summer (Joe and his little cast!) I know you have so many warm memories of Joe. I love you all and keep you my thoughts and prayers.

Joe, Life tends to be way to short and at times unfair. In our short time on Earth we can only hope to live our lives to the fullest, as best we know how. You were a great person and I have many memories of us as children growing up together in Chicago. I will keep those memories with me in my heart. Our Prayers go out to the Lison family. Joe was a good friend of ours. We have known Joe since he was in grade school, and I can remember lots of great memories we've had throughout our high school years with him. Joe had the funniest personality and could make anyone laugh.
