Joseph Rodriguez Obituary
Joseph Manuel Rodriguez "Papo/Lord Cotto", age 72, of East Chicago, IN passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016. He is survived by children: Joseph Manuel (Tia Marie) Rodriguez, Jr., Victor Angel (Carmen) Rodriguez, Racquel Sherisse Rodriguez, Annamarie (Pablo) Reichert, Melania Toi (Richard) Sultan, Joseph Nathan Joshua (Amy) Rodriguez and Johnathon Jason Rodriguez; former wives, Carmen Mercedes del Carmen Rios and Donna Jean Gonzalez Rodriguez; grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Chelsey, Michael, Alexandria, Nathan, Jocelyn, Jasmin, Adrian Angel, Yiovani Yolando, Yesenia Racquel, Nancy Merecia, Alexa Lauren, Alexander Nathen, Aiden Richart, Isabella Jeanvieve, Armaan Muhammad, Ahmed khaleel, Lia Melania and Johnathon Jason Jr.; great grandchildren, Julian and Mia; brothers and sisters: Carlose, Cachine, Lalo, Maria, Luis, Gabe and Jose Cotto; dear friend, Sissy Lee "Kitten" Bennett; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members. Joseph was an International Longshoreman (Local Union #1969), a former East Chicago Police Officer, worked for the U. S. Postal Mail Carrier for the city of Chicago, IL and a foreman at Inland Steel Company. He was a proud Vietnam U. S. Army Veteran serving one tour upon receiving a Purple Heart. Visitation Service will be on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Main Chapel at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home, 4201 West Ridge Road, Gary, IN 46408 (219) 980555. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Joseph Manuel Rodriguez will be deeply missed by his loving devoted family and precious friends.
