Julia Lorig Obituary
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Joe, a daughter, Katie (Brian) Hernandez of Munster, and 2 grandchildren. Other relatives include brothers James (Geri) Elsberry and Jon (Sandi) Elsberry, sister Janna Umfleet as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held at Word of Life Church, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, 7144 Russell Dr, Bicknell, IN with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville IN. Memorial contributions may be made in Julia's memory to the Word of Life Keyboard Fund. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home. Online condolences and fond memories may be shared at www.fredrickandson.com

Very sorry to learn of her passing. She was our music teacher in Winnebago, MN in my late elementary years and junior high. I believe she married Joe while there or shortly after she left Winnebago. My sympathy to her entire family and friends!
