Kenneth Oglesby Obituary

Kenneth L. Oglesby Tennessee / Valparaiso, IN Kenneth L. Oglesby, age 42, of Seymour TN, formerly of Valparaiso, IN (born Dec. 13, 1961 to John and Donna (Lamb) Oglesby), died on Sunday, August 15, 2004 as a result of a boating accident. Ken was a graduate of Valparaiso High School, class of 1980. He earned his degree from Indiana University in 1986 and began working for Sea Ray Boats in Knoxville. He transferred to Phoenix, AZ, but returned to the Knoxville plant. In his eighteen years of employment with Sea Ray, he rose from Supervisor to Vice President/General Manager of the Riverview Division, where he was respected for his integrity. Ken was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was also a devoted family man, highly active in his children's athletic activities. On December 27, 1986, he married Julie Bach (daughter of Paul and Linda Bach) who survive along with two sons Ryan age 13 and Austin age 9. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, John L. (Margo) Oglesby of Valparaiso, IN; Aunts Ginny Miller of Garden Grove, CA, Sue (Richard) Rubino of Lake Station, IN and Peg (Glen) Waller of Oklahoma. Uncles Richard Oglesby of Hobart, IN and Robert and Charles (Mary) Stang of Lowell, IN. He also leaves behind three nieces, two nephews, twenty-one cousins and many friends. Funeral service11 AM Thursday at Atchley's Seymour Chapel, Rev. Jim Knowles officiating.
