Leonard Brzozkiewicz Obituary
Leonard A. Brzozkiewicz, age 78, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Leonard is survived by his children: Kim (Rick) Kolbert, Cari Bukent, Kristine (Rob) Levin, Colleen Shearer, Leonard B (Stacy) Brzozkiewicz and Dana (Jesse) Orsini; 14 grandchildren: Patrick, Katherine, Michael, Jessica, Jennifer, Adam, Bradley, Nicholas, Joshua, Jeremy, Brandon, Tiffany, Camden and Bennett. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; mother, Olga (Robert) Howard; father, William A. Brzozkiewicz; and brother, William B. Brzozkiewicz. Leonard was an electrician and a member of IBEW Local 697. He worked on the Alaskan Pipeline and enjoyed going to the casino where he had worked at as an electrician. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. Leonard was an avid Cubs fan, but his greatest joy was his children and grandchildren, and attending all their events. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307. I will always remember first meeting Len, an electrician at Delta Camp, Trans Alaska Pipeline. He would bring me the newspaper from Hammond, Indiana, because he heard I had lived in Calumet City. But really, he just wanted to meet Mary! He called me his sister. Love you Len, from your sister Jody.
