Mark Farner Obituary

MARK ALLEN FARNER Mark Allen Farner Born: February 12, 1965 and entered into Paradise December 13, 2014. Devoted Husband of Dawn. Loving Father of Mark and Eric. Protective Brother of Randy and Patty. Uncle of Matthew, Thomas, Amanda, Christina, Jake, Harman, Whitley, and Ananda. Nephew of Becky (Corky), Wyatt, and Flint. He became a Man at a very young age by taking his younger brother under his wing as his parents moved on to begin new families. He chose to become a part of The Lukacek Family on August 24, 1984. He was also loved by many step brothers, sisters, and cousins through marriages. He will be remembered by many Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Mark was referred to as The Miracle Man by his Cancer Support Family. He was diagnosed in 2002 with Stage 4 small cell carcinoma of the lung and was given 6 months to live by his Oncologist. Mark never once said, "I was going to die." He always said, "God will get me through this." His daily prayer was to see his sons graduate from high school and for them not to grow up without a Father. Both of them have become good Christian Men as a result of his strength. Mark loved the Bible and Apple Computers. He provided for "His Little Family" with a career in computers. Mark touched many people through his faith. He witnessed to anyone that would listen of any religious belief. He will be greatly missed. John 6:47 King James Version. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a prayer service/eulogy from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Burns-Kish Funeral Home 5840 Hohman Ave. Hammond, IN 46320. Thinking of you as always as we approach the anniversary of your angel wings. Your niece and nephew are growing up so fast and becoming wonderful young adults. Harman misses his Uncle Mark so much, he says all the time, "mommy, I wish I could give him my face just one more time". You´d be so proud of them! We love and miss you so much! Until we meet again!

There are not words that I can properly use to say all that I wish to say. I just want people to know how many lives Mark really touched. He really was a wonderful person and my children and I will forever have an empty space in our hearts without him here on earth. Until we meet again, Mark. We love you and will miss you always!
