January 25, 2025. Dear Dr. Black and Family: I think of all of you and honestly still miss you Dear Dr. Black. I did find another pain management Dr. in Naples, from the Korunda Group, I was under the care of Dr. Fuchs, from that group until 2 years ago, when I then moved to North Carolina, near my grandsons. I am presently under the care of the Duke Hospital Pain Management Clinic. I must say after leaving Naples, life has been quite difficult for Phil and I. I would sincerely wish I could have continued living in Naples, under the care of Dearest Dr. Black, which I´m very much aware that neither would have been possible. I think of Dr´s beautiful family and hope and pray that everyone is healthy, doing their best and living the past 10 years and future as Dr. Black, would be so proud.

Dr Black was willing to go out on a limb to relieve my pain with Calmare therapy (at that time an experimental therapy). I am very grateful for his compassionate heart.

ue and children, please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. I had moved from Marco to Tennessee and just learned of the sad news. Matt treated pain associated with my long-time battle with peripheral neuropathy for almost 8 years. Where others failed, Matt was immediately successful in relieving my pain with his keen intelligence and caring ways. No wonder I had a real rocket scientist for a doctor! He literally gave me my life back. We immediately became friends as we shared a common love for boating and the great outdoors. As he healed the pain of so many when he was alive, so will his memory heal the pain we now feel in his passing. God bless you Matthew. God speed my friend.

Dr Matthew Black was the kindest and the most caring person I have ever met. He was a loving husband, a great father and a close friend. Before his passing, I was given an oppurtunity to tell him "I Love You Matt" and he responded alike. I will carry that with me for the rest of my life. Rest in peace my friend. Heaven will be a better place with your arrival.

Dr. Black was an excelent Dr. He was very intelligent, You could ask him medical question about this outside of his field and he would know the answer immediately. I would go too other doctors in different specialties and they wouldn't know what to do. I'd go to Dr. Black and as soon as he saw me, he would know exactly what was wrong. I am giving my condolence to his family, friends, staff and patients.

What a huge loss of a humble, humorous, and such a well accomplished Doctor. As a former patient, being stricken with aggressive Osteomylitis, 5 days after the birth of my daughter, Dr. Black had a quick keen eye to identify and assess my illness. I was in his care for well over a year, and during that time we became endeared to his kindness, smile, and incredibly funny sense of humor. Our Naples community has lost a fine man, and my family and I thank you greatly for your dedication, so that I may see my children grow up. Always our Hero and God Bless...

Dr. Black was one of a very few physicians that treated patients as people; understood, demonstrated and exemplfied the truest definition of compassion; and felt your pain as if it was his own. I am heartbroken that the medical profession has lost a one-in-a-million doctor, and a family has lost an angel of a man.
