Nancy LoDuca Obituary
SANIBEL, FL - Nancy L. LoDuca, 89 of Sanibel, FL formerly a longtime resident of Munster, IN. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 24, 2024. Nancy is survived by her children, Mary (John) Leary, Patrick LoDuca, and Procopio (Ana) LoDuca; grandchildren, Hannah (Brendan) McCray, Emma, Mia, and Tessa LoDuca.
Nancy married the love of her life, Pro, and together they owned and operated Giovanni's restaurant in Munster for over 54 years. Nancy was on the Board of Directors for the Restaurant and Hospitality Assoc of Indiana for many years. She loved her Friday night outings with Rosie Jack and friends, and had amazing times with her "Vita Loca" girlfriends. Her passions for food, wine and traveling led her across the globe with family and friends. She was a beautiful soul inside and out. As matriarch, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She always had a positive outlook on life. Her infectious laugh was so unique and made her who she was. To know Nancy was to love her. Like Frank Sinatra said, "No one could ever replace, Nancy with the laughing face." She was so loved and will be missed by everyone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Procopio LoDuca; daughter, Anita LoDuca, and sister, Marilyn Homrich.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Maria Goretti Church, Dyer, IN, with a luncheon to follow.

Nancy was my next-door neighbor on Sanibel for 24 years. Her cheer always made me happy, just by being with her. So full of life, an endearing storyteller! Nancy´s family reflected her warmth, character and personality-when with them I felt, to the extent possible, like part of the family.

I have such fond memories of Pro and Nancy thru Giovanni's. The wine dinners were top notch and so much fun. You could hear Nancy's laughter throughout the entire restaurant!
