HAMMOND, IN - Norman L. Wiening, age 78 of Hammond, IN, went home to his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 29, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Susan; two children: Rick (Maria) Wiening and Kristen (Bryan) Devenny; four grandchildren: Katie Wiening, Derrick Wiening, Tyler Devenny, and Dylan Devenny; close good friend, Luke Hackett; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. Norman was preceded in death by his brothers: Ervin Wiening, Roland Wiening, and sister, Elaine Allen.

Friends are invited to visit with Norman's family on Wednesday, March 6 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 8601 Harrison Ave., Munster, IN. His funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Peter Speckhard officiating. Norman will be laid to rest in Oak Glen Lutheran Cemetery in Lansing, IL. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Norman was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He was an Operating Manager for over 35 years. He was an avid golfer, he loved to fix things and tinker in his garage. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren playing sports, dancing, and all their activities. He and his wife loved to walk everyday. Norman was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend and he will be missed. www.schroederlauer.com
