Randall C. Frizzell

RANDALL C. FRIZZELL LAKE STATION, IN Randall C. Frizzell, age 79 of Lake Station, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 14, 2009 with his loving family at his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dessole (nee Cardwell) Frizzell; six children: Steve (Debbie) Frizzell of Crown Point, Rodney (Terri) Frizzell of Valparaiso, Pamela Black of Saginaw, MI, Terry (Juanita) Frizzell of Valparaiso, John (Debbie) Frizzell also of Valparaiso, and Paul (Becky) Frizzell of Plainfield, IL; 15 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three sisters-in- law: Sue Frizzell of Hammond, Reva Frizzell of Hebron, and Mary Lou Frizzell of Owensboro, KY and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents: John and Iva Frizzell; four brothers: Wavy, Ken, Charles and Bob Frizzell and one sister, Emogene Frizzell. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. directly at First Baptist Church Main Auditorium, 473 Sibley, Hammond with Dr. Jack Schaap officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Lane Memorial in Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Monday at First Baptist Church from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Randall was born and raised in Kentucky and moved to the Calumet Area in 1948. He has been a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Hammond since 1961. For over 40 years he has been a member on the deacon board, an usher and a bus driver. Randall retired in 1986 after working for 38 years at Standard Forging Corp. in East Chicago. Randall was a loving husband, father, and devoted grandfather. Randall will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and as a very generous and caring man, who will be missed by all who knew him.
