Another year has since passed... 8 years since you left us and yet it still feels like yesterday. I miss you very much dad. When you were here I didn´t realize how much I needed you. But, now that you are gone, it´s so obvious to me that you were my rock. You always called to check in. I sure do miss that! But, I´m very thankful I still have a recorded voicemail of your last check in w me. I listen to it so frequently. Hearing your voice brings me peace! Love you Dad! I´ll head to the casino tomorrow in your honor!

Hard to believe we are approaching your 7th year of passing! Not a day goes by that I dont think of you dad! I miss you so so much! When you were here and we had our Tuesday coffee dates, I remember you telling me "I´m in a bad way!" I said "I know Dad." It was your way of preparing me that you were dying. You always had a way (your own way) of preparing us kids- Your own kiddos or those you coached. I am so grateful for the memories we made over the years because those memories truly are what keep me going now that you are gone. It´s been 7 years but it still feels like yesterday that I sat next to you in bed and held your hand and comforted you! I miss you daddy! Always, your baby girl, Christine

I miss you so much, Dad! As a teacher, I see so many kids without both parents or even one parent. I am so grateful to you and mom for the upbringing you have given to me. I have so many memories.....my first car you delivered to me at the high school, the roses you brought me on homecoming night, you taking me out at 11pm to teach me how to drive....stopping at Dunkin Donuts to get a hot chocolate, and of course you being the best coach a girl could ever have. (I could go on). I think of you daily. Be my angel and watch over Collin, will ya? Love u daddy!!!

To the family of Richard Roye:

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Richard when we met at Harbison Walker Brick Refractory in Hessville, IN. The first time we met we had an instant bond that lasted for over 50 years. Richard would often call me and ask if I could come in and work midnights, even after we both weren't working there anymore. (I was teaching at Griffith High School at the time.) Even though I am retired now he would still call. I talked with him a couple of months ago and we would still talk about the old times. I had the pleasure of having Richard and Pat's kids at GHS. They raised them the right way. Richard's laugh was infectious. He was a person that I looked up to for his honesty, high moral character, and unending generosity. I will miss my "brother" always.
