RICK D. KRUIT LOVELAND, CO
Rick D. Kruit of Loveland, CO passed away on October 2, 2014 after a hard fought battle against prostate cancer. Rick was a bright light in the lives of so many people and he will be missed forever, but we have comfort knowing he is in Our Lord's sweet embrace and that we will all be together again one day. Rick was born to John and Dorothy Kruit in Hammond, IN on July 15, 1963. He graduated from Hanover Central High School and continued on to receive a Business Degree from Purdue University. Rick married Tracy Wolff on June 26,1994 in San Diego, CA and they settled in Loveland, CO to raise their three children Kodi, Kayla, and Tyler. While their union ended they still teamed together to raise their amazing children. Rick married his sweetheart and best friend Julie Kruit on March 18, 2012, and together they blended a beautiful family of six children. He was blessed to add his bonus children Victoria, Joseph, and Thomas Lucero to his life. Rick worked as a Sr. Supply Chain Manager at Ball Aerospace in Boulder, CO. He loved his job and his customers, but more than anything loved the people he worked with. He treasured the many friendships he made over his nineteen years there. Outside of work and family, Rick's passion was the game of golf. While he played many great courses in his lifetime, his golfing bucket list was complete last year with a 50th birthday celebration in Monterey to play at Pebble Beach. Rick is survived by his wife Julie; his children: Kodi (24), Kayla (19) and Tyler (17); his step children: Victoria (21) Joseph (17) and Tommy (15); his parents John and Dorothy Kruit; brothers: Terry (Laura), Jan (Carol), Jeff; sisters: Shirley and Lori; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Rick made lifelong friends everywhere he ventured which is a testament to his character and lovable personality, and they will miss him dearly. Rick was a devout Christian who walked lockstep with Jesus Christ throughout his cancer journey. He was a proud member of Foundations Church, and his good friend and Pastor Carl Sutter will officiate the funeral service. The service will be held at Faith Evangelical Church in Loveland on October 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Viegut Funeral Home.
