Rita was a good friend and classmate at BNI. Her quiet humor and deep intelligence made working on the JourNoll with her so much fun. She will be remembered well as one of the stars of the Class of '65.
My sincere condolences to her family and close friends on the loss of this good woman. May God's healing grace bring you peace.

So sorry to have been unable to attend. I didn't know Rita well, we were classmates at BNI, but I always noticed her kindness in dealing with others, and how it was reflected in her beautiful eyes. Age has taught me to mention the beauty we see in others and thankfully I did so when I saw her some years ago.

My deepest condolences to Rita's family and close friends. Rita, Margie King, and I were good pals at BNI. When we were deep into all the "British Invasion" bands, Rita found Kipling's "Stalky & Company" in the school library, and we loved reading about those English schoolboy adventures and adopting some of their lingo. I also fondly remember the fun we had as seniors working on the JourNoll with a lot of the brightest and funniest junior boys. I visited Rita on my way through Hammond some years ago, and learned how her life had been devoted to caring for others. I'll always treasure my memories of her!

We were very saddened at the news of Rita's passing. We are both alumni of BNI ('65 & '66)
May God's perpetual light shine upon her, and may she rest in peace, knowing that the love of her family follows her, and hers will continue to be with you, looking to the time you will be together again.

Bill, it was both a privilege and inspiring to witness the depth of love you and Rita shared. You demonstrated to all what a good marriage should be and how parents should nurture their children. You'll remain in my prayers. Ara

Our whole family is very sad to hear of Rita's death. Meeting Rita at Bishop Noll, then getting to know her while we raised our children, and then loving her as my dear friend, is such a small part of our life's journey together. I will miss so many things about her; Our coffee breaks, our private jokes, laughing until our sides hurt, helping each other through losses and sharing each others joys.
Dearest Rita, I thank God for having shared so much of life with you, and for knowing your family. My heart goes out to all: Bill, Beth, Margaret, John and their family's and to sweet Billy.
I pray that God will help each one of them through this pain and sorrow.

Your Sister-in-Christ, Barbara & Family: Carl,Sr. and our sons and our daughters.

I'm so very sorry that I won't be able to get to Hammond for Rita's funeral Mass this Saturday. She went through so much and I know Bill and her children suffered right along with her. My heart goes out to all of you. I'll hold you all in my heart and mind, especially on Saturday, and send you wishes for peace and comfort. - love, Kathleen

So sorry to hear about the passing of my cousin Rita. Rita was such a loving woman and was like a big sister to many of us. I remember staying at her house as a little boy (probably when my brother Jim was born)and going up and down the sidewalk in Whiting on her tricycle with her running next to me. May the Lord comfort Bill and all the kids and grandchildren during this difficult time of loss.
