Dear Steve, Scott & Shannon,

This is late to post here, but just found it by chance. I do hope you all have the faith and strength given to all of you by your Mom & Dad to go forward with your lives and still make them as proud as when they were here with us! As I said to all of you, you are so young to have lost both parents at a tender age, they each gave you strength in different ways, I hope you all draw from that forever. I still find it difficult missing your Mom, we shared so much fun, we always were stocking up our endorphins for when we needed them, she was the best!

Love and Lots of Prayers,

Cathy Lane and Family

Dear Shannon, Scott and Steve,

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I worked with him and your mom at Wrigley Field. Your dad and I used to people watch together and he always would shake his head at some eccentric-looking couple and say "There is someone for everyone." I thought that was a pretty wise observation. We'll miss him.

Shannon, Scott and Steve,

Your Dad and I worked together and I got to know your Mother also. They often talked about the three of you and it was obvious they both were very proud of you all. Watching you today at your Dads service it was easy to see why they were so proud. I'm sure they are together now watching with that same pride.

Scott, Steve, Shannon, and Georgia: I have not had the chance to meet all of you, my dad and Steve were friends. I had the luxury of hanging with Steve many afternoons on our boats out on Lake Shaffer. He was such a wonderful, sweet man. My heart goes out to all of you and you are all in my thoughts in prayers, along with Steve.
