Thadeous Oberc Obituary
Thadeous Oberc, 80, of Dyer, IN passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Janet C. Oberc (nee Pers); Sons, Steven M. Oberc, and Bryan J. (Kristen) Oberc; and grandchildren, Riley Parks, Matthew Parks, and Avery Parks.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Helen Oberc.
Thadeous was a successful entrepreneur, owning several businesses, including EZ GO gas station (Hammond), Lowell Fabric Care, Lowell Hardware, Burch's Restaurant (Gary), Highland Insurance, and was a Business Real Estate Broker for many years.
Outside of his work Thadeous was a lover of animals, taking in dogs whose owners were no longer able to care for them, and regularly making donations to Humane Indiana.
Visitation will be at Saint Maria Goretti Church in Dyer, IN Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am.
