THOMAS B. POBY CHESTERTON, IN FORMERLY SOUTH HOLLAND, IL
Thomas B. Poby, age 72, late of Chesterton, formerly of South Holland, passed away, Saturday, September 3, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Frances (nee Polka); loving father of Jerrold (Kathryn) Poby and Sharon (James) Olson; cherished grandfather of Nicole, Kevin and Corryn; devoted son of the late Bernard and the late Annette Poby; dearest brother of Bernie (late Bob) Furiek, Robert Poby, Randy (Chris) Poby and the late Henry Pobutkiewicz; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired owner of The Printing Point in Lansing, IL. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00-9:00 PM. Funeral services on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 9:45 AM from the Elmwood Funeral Chapel, 11300 W. 97th Lane (1/2 block West of US 41 Wicker Ave/ at 97th Lane) St. John, IN to St. Michael the Archangel Church, Schererville for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM with Fr. Ted Mauch officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Please omit flowers. (219) 365- 3474. www.elmwoodchapel.com.

I went to Mt Carmel high school with Tom and worked a few years at
R R Donnelly's with him, A real nice guy I was glad to know him,
My condolences to his family, God be with Tom.

Tom was a great asset to the Lansing area comunity.
As a fellow Jaycee Tom was always ready to help when asked.
He will be missed by his family foremost but also by those who worked with him in the Lansing communtiy, and those who came to know him by the quality of his work.
