Viola Jacobi Obituary
Viola Schwab Jacobi, age 88, of Highland, formerly of East Chicago passed away peacefully Saturday, November 6, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family and caregiver, Ella. Viola had been a Highland resident for 62 years and a lifelong Northwest Indiana resident. She was a 1940 graduate of E.C. Roosevelt High School. Viola is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Henry "Coby" Jacobi; son, Terry Jacobi of Boston, MA; and daughter, Marillee (Dale) Popovich of Highland, IN. A memorial service will be held Saturday November 13, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Ave., Highland, IN with Randy Harrison, Minister, officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Our loving wife, mother and neighbor, your sweet smile and kind heart will carry on in our memories forever. Mrs. Jacobi enjoyed her family, neighbors, nature and reading. The family requests donations to Hospice of the Calumet Area in Viola's name. www.fagenmiller.com
