Not sure what possessed me to go online at this time and look for information on Camp Tomahawk and ultimately "Red" Bogart. Needless to say, after so many years, I was suprised to learn of Red's passing this past week.
I enjoyed many wonderful summers at Tomahawk, first as a camper and then as a staff member. I can truly say that Tomahawk was a major influence on my life. I wish that every child could experience just one summer in an environment like that which Red created at Tomahawk. I will never forget Red and will always be greatful for the wonderful memories of summers on Newfound Lake, that I have carried with me throughout my life.
