ALBERT BRONSTEIN Obituary

BRONSTEIN--Albert. Albert Bronstein passed away peacefully on Wednesday at age 94. He was a loving husband to Eileen; devoted father to Joanne, Caryn, and Rachelle -- and their husbands, Scott, Barry and David; doting grandfather to Max, Jamie, Leigh, Melissa, Daniel, Lauren and Adam - and their spouses; and proud great-grandfather to Jack and Ruby, Ethan and Harper, and Grace and Ari. His was an extraordinary life all the more remarkable for its inauspicious beginnings. Born in June 1930, raised by a single mom on the Lower East Side, he went to the City University of New York, graduated and, at a dance in the Bronx, met Eileen. She loved him dearly. And he her. For sixty-nine years, he was attached to Mrs. Bronstein. Together, they raised three girls. He sent them to college and brought them and two of their husbands into his business. To his seven grandkids, he was a larger-than-life figure -- physically big with a deep voice and boundless energy to build sandcastles and play sports (golfing into his 90s). He had a mischievousness that charmed his grandkids and great-grandkids. He delighted in making funny faces and playing peek-a-boo. Even at early ages, the great-grandkids loved Pop-Pop. Words cannot fully capture his immense generosity, profound kindness, and good humor. We are forever grateful for our time with him, and we will miss him immensely. May his memory be a blessing.
