ANITA SCHLESINGER Obituary

SCHLESINGER--Anita, age 84, passed away December 7, 2010, lifelong resident of Brooklyn, New York, beloved mother of Gloria S. Hege, adored sister of Phyllis Wolfthal, larger-than-life grandmother of Damon Hege and Alexa Norstad. Married for 43 years to the late Frank Schlesinger. An elementary school teacher, avid lecture attendee and world traveler, she was enthralled by the peaceful, warm summer days in her cherished Easthampton hideaway. Her quick smile, firm love, twinkling eye, strong opinions, and occasional naked truths will be greatly missed by many relatives and friends. Services will be 3pm December 8 at Parkside Funeral Home, 2576 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn. Burial will be private. Family will sit shiva December 9-11. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
