Mr. Salerno's passion and love towards residents, staff and families, has taught so many of us the true meaning of commitment, caring, and dedication. When I worked with Gary Sazer I had the pleasure of working with Tony on many of his projects. Tony was always a wonderful friend with a kind and loving personality. As busy as he was, his family always came first. Although I have not been in touch with him for over 12 years, I have fond memories and wish Nancy and all his family my sincere condolences. May the love he emitted shine forth to all of you and those who cared for him.

What can be said that would truly justify Tony Salerno`s legacy.. some would say his true caring for the elderly, others would say what he has done for those individuals who have suffered from a tramatic brain injury and still others would say the way in which he cared for his employees and their families but, I would say it is how he loved his family first and then those he truly viewed as his friends. I am so happy to have had Tony as my friend foremost. My most cherished memories are the times over the years that, I was able to get Tony and Harry away from work to dinner or a sporting event. To watch Tony actually have fun and watch his whole body move when he laughed is a memory, I will never forget. I feel so lucky to have gotten to see Tony and receive a big hug from him just a day before he became ill.
For those individuals who never were able to met Tony or better yet never availed the opportunity to be his friend and be let into his heart and exposed to his love you have missed much. I will miss him more than words could ever alllow me to so eloquently express.
To the wonderful Salerno Family,
I am so saddened that you have lost such a wonderful man who loved his family so.
I have to believe that Tony is now in the loving arms of the Good Lord and that he is with you always, watching over you. Celebrate your beautiful family as he would want you to.
Love,
Mary Jane

To be taken at such an early age is just so profound to me. Mr. Salerno was a kind and generous individual. I believe he genuinely cared about his Directors of Nursing. I've been blessed to have met and worked for him. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers will be eternally with his family.

Eventhough I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Salerno personally, I was fortunate enough to work for him and with him as a consultant for the organization. He was a great person and mentor, who truely cared about people. He will be greatly missed. My sympathies to his family.
