I was a member on the floor of the NYSE from 1967 to 2002, during which the larger part of the time coincided with Arthur. He was a consummate professional and always reflected the best for the NYSE and himself. It was a pleasure to have shared space and time with Arthur. His legacy is well established .

As the Trading Floor reporter who put the IBM trades on the ticker tape, I stood for years at Arthur's shoulder each trading day. We developed a very close professional relationship. Arthur always stood tall, commanding the respect of his partners and all the brokers who ventured into the IBM trading crowd. Beyond that, in quiet moments, I was privileged to have him share with me some personal thoughts about life in general, and, once he found out that I hailed from Jamaica, the genealogy of his relatives there. My memories of those times, and of Arthur, are golden!
