BARBARA GOODMAN Obituary
Devoted wife and mother, died July 24, 2015, 87 years old, resident of Rye, NY and Mill River, MA. A graduate of Oberlin College class of 1949. Survived by Peter Goodman, husband of 63 years, son Mark, son Geoffrey and daughter Elizabeth and five grand children. Barbara was an artist by profession whose paintings hang in many corporate headquarters and private residences. Her landscapes are deeply expressive, influenced by the natural beauty of The Berkshires and Monhegan Island. She was a member of the Pindar Gallery in New York City, and in 2005, was presented with an Honorary Lifetime Membership with the Silvermine Guild of Artists. Barbara had a passion for competitive bridge and classical music, attending concerts throughout her life. Barbara was an inspiration to her family and will be sorely missed.

I loved Mrs. Goodman. She was warm and kind, soft spoken, and full of love.She welcomed my family into the home in Rye, and, as a child,I spent many happy times with Elizabeth in the family pool.
I am so very sorry for your loss and send much love and hugs.
