BARBARA SIEGEL Obituary

SIEGEL--Barbara L., age 77, died at home on December 29, 2018. She was a highly regarded educator/ mentor; caring friend; devoted and cherished wife, mother, and grandmother. Barbara was a Learning Disabilities Specialist, and retired in 1999 as Principal of the Frelinghuysen Middle School in Morristown, NJ. She lived with her husband of 57 years, Alan, in Florham Park, NJ, and Longboat Key, FL, and was a member of the Brotherhood Synagogue in Manhattan. In addition to Alan, she is survived by daughter, Shari Siegel-Goldman, (Jeffrey), grandchildren, Nicole, Lucas, Kelsey; and sister, Anne Finger (Robert) and family. She is also survived by son, Howard (Alexis) and grandsons, Ryan and Zachary. Barbara will be remembered as a dedicated educator and as a warm and nurturing person who exuded love and kindness. She loved animals and nature and derived joy from her precious Shih Tzu, Melody. Services will be at Temple B'nai Abraham in Livingston, NJ, on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 1pm.
