BARRY SILVERMAN Obituary

SILVERMAN-- Barry Edward III, 80, of New York, Connecticut, Florida and California, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife Wendy Hewitt Silverman, and is survived by his greatest joy and pride - his four sons, Adam (Louise), Jonathan (Lana), Peter (Carol) and Christopher (Tammy), and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Barry had a great passion for life - music, the arts, food, gardening, and lived with laughter, smiles, and a twinkle in his eye. His presence, humor, and kind and generous heart will be missed; but we rejoice that he is once again dancing with his beloved wife and "Princess" Wendy.

I met Barry in the 1980's in connection with some business discussions that we were involved in. We became very friendly and discovered a mutual interest in many things including culture and politics. We remained friendly for many years. I visited him and Wendy at their house in Connecticut and could not help but note how close they were as a couple. Barry was always a forward thinker as evidenced by his plastic recycling business which he started well before its time. Even after he relocated we kept in touch via e-mail.
Barry was an eternal optimist. I am glad to have been a friend and send my condolences to his family.
