BENJAMIN SAXE Obituary
American Friends of Magen David Adom mourns the passing of Benjamin (Ben) Saxe, our former executive vice president. For more than 34 years, Ben led American Red Magen David Adom for Israel (ARMDI), as the organization was then known, providing the largest source of charitable funds for Magen David Adom, Israel's EMS and blood-services organization. Under Ben's leadership, AFMDA ensured Israel's EMTs had the training and equipment they needed and that Israel had an ample blood supply to withstand some of its greatest crises, including the Yom Kippur War and the Second Intifada. Ben was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eleanor; and his son, Emmett. We extend our condolences to his entire family. Mark D. Lebow, Chairman. David M. Frankel, CEO.
