BRECKINRIDGE JONES Obituary

JONES--Breckinridge. Died peacefully at home on January 7 at age 90. Formerly of Montclair and Spring Lake, Breck was a member of the Medford Leas community, Medford, NJ. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Marie and is survived by daughters Deborah and Melissa, grandchildren Samuel and Dakota, sister Nancy and their families. He graduated from Princeton, class of 1944, was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II, and spent 45 years at The New York Times, where he was Deputy Editor of The Index. A man of great dignity, conviction, compassion and humor, he will be dearly missed by his companion Jean, his family, friends and colleagues.
