Bronislaw Wisniewski Obituary

WISNIEWSKI--Dr. Bronislaw (born Bernard Waxman in Warsaw, Poland in 1909) died quietly in his sleep on March 10th. He experienced and accomplished much during his 99 years of life. He survived Nazi occupation in hiding to become a hospital ward director and a professor at the Medical School of Internal Medicine Institute in post war Warsaw. In his late forties he arrived in America settling in New York with wife Cecylia and son Marian. Here he contributed his skills as an attending physician at NYU and in private practice. He is survived by his second wife, Dr. Maria Wisniewski; by son Dr. Marian Waxman and his wife Dr. Jenny Waxman; grandchildren Dorothy and Robert, their spouses and six great- grandchildren. He is mourned by his family and many friends and colleagues. Funeral service at Schwartz Bros. Chapel, Queens Boulevard and 76th Road, Forest Hills on March 15, at 11:30am.
