CAROLE BAKER Obituary
Carole Sara, 61. Carole passed away on June 20, 2018, after a courageous, seven year battle with non-small cell lung cancer. She was the adored wife of David H. Solis - Cohen III, loving mother to Hannah, Emma, and Ben, and cherished daughter of the late Eugene and Judy Baker. She was born and raised in Longmeadow, MA and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania (BA and MsEd) where she was a Thouron Fellow and Captain of the Women's Squash team. After working on Wall Street in New York, in advertising in Philadelphia, and publishing in New York and Philadelphia, she then had three children and received a second MsEd from The Bank Street College of Education. Her last career was as a reading and learning specialist, a career she loved a great deal and which lasted for almost 20 years. Her funeral will be held at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 76th and Amsterdam, June 22 at 12 noon. Contributions may be made in her honor to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, or to a charity of one's choice.
