CHARLES HULL

HULL--Charles. Charles Hull, Co-Founder of TheaterWorksUSA, Austrian Anschluss refugee, and Korean War-era Airforce veteran, died peacefully and surrounded by family on Friday, April 14th in his New York City home. Known to most as "Charlie," Hull attended Lehigh University on a football scholarship and graduated with a Business Administration degree in 1953. In 1961, he came to New York City to pursue acting and appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions and television commercials. Shortly thereafter, Hull co-founded what was to become TheaterWorksUSA, America's largest and foremost equity theatre for young audiences, and gave thousands of young actors, composers, and lyricists their professional credentials. He is survived by his wife Ann, daughters Alizon and Hilary, and three grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to TheatreworksUSA in Charlie's name.
