It was a sad first night of Channukah on the 8th Floor where David lived. As his next door neighbor, I often heard him play the Maozur on a recorder or flute, on the first night of Channukah. It always made me smile. I did mention last year that I appreciated hearing his playing. It will not be the same in the building without him. He contributed so much to the building. As a fellow commuting cyclist, I could not match his dedication. David commuted in rain and snow. He towed a white board behind his bike to and from CUNY during the pandemic. He will not be forgotten for so many reasons.
May his memory be a blessing.
