Deena-a powerful, bright woman of many strengths and interests-was my neighbor for about a decade. We had keys for each other's apartments (just in case!), enjoyed each other's pets, and joked about our daily woes. I knew she had some challenging health issues, but she chugged along. I'll miss her. May her memory be a blessing.

Deena was my first supervisor of special ed in Nyack. She was my advocate, friend and mentor during our time together. When she left the district no one ever matched her advocacy for both her staff and the children we served. I missed her to my own retirement. May her memory be a blessing,

Deena and Minna were my neighbors for several years. They were a smart, adventurous, loving couple who doted on their pets, enjoyed traveling, were true public servants and, above all, adored their children. I'm so very saddened to learn of Deena passing. I saw her shortly before her death, walking Portia. I'll hold that memory in her honor.
