Dennis was a wonderful guy - great husband, father, and friend. He never had an unkind word to say about anyone. He was incredibly brave during his battle with brain cancer. We will remember him cooking pancakes at the Carey Shelter Island house and sinking a hole in one at Black Rock CC in Hingham MA

We were born in the same year. We share a community, a school; our children are friends as Jan and I have been with the Hayes' for many years.
I will honor Dennis' memory by simply trying to emulate as best I can, his exceptional example of courage, wit, intelligence and common decency...

Dennis was a wonderful person. We are KAS fraternity brothers from college. Our brotherhood is mourning the loss of a great man.I am reminded of his zest for life and that always upbeat attitude. He always had a smile on his face & was known for asking 'how's it going'; that became his nickname to all who knew and loved him. We love and miss you Dennis.
Thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and children from the entire KAS family.
