I grew up with the Kittredge family on Somerset Street
and Eddie was the best most loving person I had as a friend. My deepest condolences to all of you and sorry we have never met.

I spent my earliest years on Somerset Street in Springfield MA, across the street diagonally from the Kittredge home, and I had memorized the names of the Kittredge kids before I was three. Barry, Bobby, Eddy, Georgie, Chuckie, Sydney, Al, Ralph, and Adele, I remember their names better than I do almost anyone else even though I haven't seen any of them in many decades. Eddy was a couple of years older than my sister, Marsha Bloom Weitz, who still lives in Londmeadow, MA, and I think he babysat for me a couple of times. My Mom was ill and frequently bedridden, and the liveliness of the Kittredge home provided a welcome change of mood. All handsome, I can close my eyes and still see them. May Eddy's memory be for a blessing.
