Edwin Herschenfeld

December 12, 2017

Edwin Herschenfeld was my father-in-law. I am grief-stricken by his passing and feel very sad that I only knew him for less than eight years. Despite his very strong personality with a "tell-it-like-it-is" philosophy, he was a very compassionate man who loved his family. He welcomed me into the family with open arms and embraced my children as his own. For that, I am eternally grateful. Our common love of playing the saxophone and listening to jazz afforded us extensive hours of entertainment and conversation. I truly wish that I had the opportunity to know him for a longer period of time. I know we would have had more great times together. I hope that he is jamming with all of the jazz greats up in heaven. Save me a seat in the sax section Pop; until we meet again. I love you. Your son-in-law, Howie
