FRANCES MENDLER

MENDLER--Frances Ann Storey, "Sancy", 86, passed away on December 18, 2021 at her home in Aurora, Ohio. She was born in Little Rock, AR on September 2, 1935 to Frank Anderson Storey Jr and Adrienne Avera Brown. After graduating from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia, she moved to New York and worked in publishing. There she met her future husband, Ernest Mendler, a business executive, with whom she emigrated to Paris in 1959. After several years living in France and Italy, the couple settled in London. Sancy became an antique dealer known for Caucasian rugs. Predeceased by her husband Ernest, she leaves a daughter, Camille Mendler; grandchildren Oliver and Georgia Matthews, all of London; a sister, Adrienne Cockrill of Little Rock, AR; nieces Anne Cockrill, of Little Rock, AR and Mary Cockrill of Los Angeles, CA.
