FRANCINE JACOBS Obituary
formerly of Westport, CT, died at age 59 on Sunday morning after a long illness. A kind and giving person, she had a long and productive career in health care, working for many years as administrative nurse for Dr. Vaughan, Chief of the Urology Department at New York Hospital. She was beloved by her patients, colleagues and family. She is survived by her four siblings, Dr. Douglas Jacobs, his children Carolyn and Deborah, Gail Leitman and her husband Daniel and their children Rebecca, Andrew and Sarah, her brother Robert Jacobs and his wife Nomi and their children Fallon and Mason, her twin sister, Patricia Kaplowitz and her husband Michael, and their children Dean, Samantha and Benjamin and loving cousins and dear and close friends from many facets of her life. She will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Donations can be made on her behalf to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (New York).
