FRANK SHIELDS Obituary

SHIELDS--Frank "Rusty" J.,

passed away on Monday, January 9 at home. A service will be held at noon on Tuesday, January 17th at Quantico National Cemetery. He attended Hunter College and City College in New York earning a degree in electrical engineering from CCNY. He spent two years in the army, where he wired some of this country's first missiles. He attended George Washington University for his Master's degree in applied science, followed up with further study at Catholic University. He worked for Night Vision Labs at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, where he became the director of the lab. His quick wit, easy laugh, and the twinkle in his eye will be missed by everyone who loved him and knew him. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Scholarship and Welfare Fund of Hunter College 695 Park Ave., Room E1314, New York, NY 10065.
