FREDERICK REMSEN Obituary

REMSEN--Frederick Ditmis "Ted", died at his home in Florida on February 21, 2024 at age 96. Born in New York, Ted grew up in Garden City and graduated from the Choate School and Dartmouth College. He worked for Fowler & Rosenau, a New York Stock Exchange specialist firm. A lifelong golfer, fisherman and gin rummy aficionado, Ted served on numerous boards including that of the Quebec Labrador Foundation and the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club. Throughout his life Ted brought a great smile and laughter to all whom he met. Survivors include his wife Laura Van Ness Remsen; his daughters Ellen Remsen Webb, Meg Remsen, Dana Brooks and Alix LaMotte; 10 grandchildren and countless friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Caddy Fund c/o General Manager, Jupiter Island Club, 1 Estrada Rd., Hobe Sound, FL. 33455.
