GEORGE FLINT Obituary

FLINT--George Squire,

84, skilled attorney, sailing enthusiast and vanquisher of crossword puzzles, died Friday, October 23, 2015 at his home in New York City. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, he was a sports columnist at The Daily at the University of Michigan. He was a partner at Fulton, Walter & Duncombe, of counsel at Jackson & Nash, a vice president at Tenneco Chemicals, and served in the United States Navy. A lover of Mozart and the Beatles, he raised springer spaniels at his home on Wamphassuc Point in Stonington, CT. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Emily McLees Flint, of New York City; his children Alexander Flint of Menlo Park, CA, Anthony Flint of Brookline, MA, Julia Flint of Burbank, CA, and seven grandsons. Friends and family gathered for a private memorial.
