GEORGE HOLBROOK

HOLBROOK--George W., Jr., Died on September 23, 2023 in Montecito, CA at age 92. He was born in Buffalo, NY to Elizabeth Bradley Holbrook and George W. Holbrook, and was raised in Wellsville, NY. Holbrook attended Exeter Academy and Cornell University serving in the Air Force after graduation. He was the managing partner at Bradley Resources Company where he invested in ventures in the mining and healthcare industries. He served as chairman at Thingap and was a director of Vapore, Inc, Alfred University, Pluromed and Thoratec Corp. He was an advisor to the Institute for Energy Efficiency at UCSB, The Emergence Fund and to Southern Connecticut Health Systems. George was an avid skier, sailor and golfer. He is survived by his wife, Tara Collins Holbrook and his three children from his first marriage, Megan, Amy and John Holbrook.
