Dr. Lehrer was one of the best friend as it turned out for me.
I have MS and was his patient. However he was much, much more than that to me. He went out of his way to help me with house calls on occasion. But unlike most doctors we h ad meaningful conversations that were totally unrelated to medicine. He really cared and we spent many hours laughing and discussing topics that were very philosophical by nature. He was like the Grand Father I never had.
I will miss him dearly. A very special human being that gave me comfort and confidence just knowing he existed.
Losing him was like losing a family member. I am very sad.
