WEBER--Henry, of Paramus, NJ, died on September 13, 2025. He was a man of great integrity, intelligence, warmth, and humor. His family and the many friends who loved him will miss his unwavering support and affection. He was born in the Bronx on February 29,1924 to Anna and Samuel Weber, a fine clothing manufacturer. Henry graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in 1941. He was in his last year at New York University School of Engineering when he was drafted into the U.S. Army. He served in Tarvisio, Italy, deactivating bombs with the Army Corps of Engineers. After his Army service, he returned to NYU to complete his BS degree and obtain his MS degree. As a civil engineer, he worked on the construction of the United Nations building before starting his own firm, Weber Engineering Co., Inc. in New Jersey, specializing in steel erection and pre-cast concrete construction. He married Lola Siegel in 1946, and they were inseparable throughout their lives. They moved to Paramus in 1952, where they raised their three daughters and became leaders in their community. They were founding members of the Jewish Community Center of Paramus, and Henry was president of the board during the fund development for and construction of the congregation's new temple. He also served as president of the Paramus Board of Health. A second home in Millerton, New York provided a new community to explore and support, and Henry was a long-time president of the Indian Lake Estates Property Owners Association. Henry and Lola shared a wide range of interests, including bridge, tennis, gardening, skiing, biking, sailing, and golf. They traveled nationally and internationally, being among the first to visit China when it opened its doors. They were frequent visitors to New York City's theaters, concerts, lectures, and museums. Henry was also a ceramicist, enjoying both sculpting and using the wheel. After retirement, he joined the Hobbyists Unlimited, with a particular interest in the bridge group. When Brightview Senior Living opened in Paramus, Henry and Lola were among the first residents, again taking the opportunity to create a new community. Henry became president of the Residents' Board, continuing his life-long commitment to community service. Henry was predeceased by his parents and his two sisters, Sylvia Pfeffer and Rose Shenk, and, in 2024, his beloved wife, Lola. He is survived by his three daughters and their husbands: Marcia Weber and James Flaws of Corning, NY; Carol Weber and Peter Arezzini of Lake Oswego, OR; and Amy Weber and Sheldon Goldfarb of Chappaqua, NY. He also is survived by much loved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on September 16 at 11am, at the Jewish Community Center of Paramus, E. 304 Midland Ave., Paramus, NJ 07652.
